ok...so i'm still promising a catch-up post at some point. i'm pretty sure i haven't gone a day w/out taking pictures...honestly, the only reason i'm posting today is b/c i already have some pics resized, etc.

i went PROP SHOPPING today!!! this is my favorite find of the day. Hobby Lobby has all of their baskets half off this week!!! This little beauty was originally $50...yeah, no way am i paying $50 for it..but $25? sure!

i'm feeling very uninspired. we got some potentially bad news regarding my husband's future w/ his job today, and we aren't sure what's going to happen or how much longer we'll be able to count on his income. so...this is all i've got for today.
taken w/ my webcam...me sans makeup...drinking my sleepytime vanilla tea (which i'm upset about b/c walmart doesn't carry it and i only have 2 more tea bags in the box)...

so...2 weeks ago it was SUPER cold here (in the low/mid 30s)...last week it was in the 50-60s...today, we were back to the 30's...and it snowed. big freaking huge flakes w/ blizzard-like wind. A and i went to walgreens, and there was no snow at all...on the way home it looked like we were in the middle of a blizzard. about 20 minutes later it had stopped again! crazy crazy weather!

^our dinner: baked chicken, veggie quinoa, and creamed corn (w/ zucchini). we're on a quinoa kick lately. i can't believe i found something healthy that my husband is willing to eat on a regular basis! and A absolutely LOVES it!

ok...lots of pics today. first, i have a sequence. my husband, A, and i spent a large chunk of our morning building towers w/ A's blocks and knocking them down w/ her car...

and today, i also had my first moms' night out. EVER. A is over 2 years old, and i've never had a moms' night out. so tonight i went out to eat w/ 3 other moms from our playgroup. we had a great time, and we closed down the restaurant...literally. they had to ask us to leave. lol...and, so i give you the Onion Volcano:

this is a crappy pic, but the battery in my camera is dead so i had to use the webcam. i made a crochet necklace using this pattern as a base. i only altered it slightly. i'm seriously loving this necklace...if i ever open an etsy shop, similar items will definitely be in it!

^We bought A some tennis shoes from walmart, and today I was pleasantly surprised when I took off the tags and read that a large portion of the materials are made of recycled plastic, etc.

^A's lunch: vienna sausages, cucumber pieces, crescent roll w/ blueberry cream cheese, dried fruit, and yogurt covered raisins. :)

so...today i was pretty much just trying to get decent focus w/ my aperture set to 1.8...i'm happy w/ the pics i got, so that's great.
